Stable Temperature Control

Our facilities hold a steady 55°F year-round, the temperature long-term cellaring demands. No swings, no spikes, no slow degradation from a thermostat that drifts a few degrees in either direction.

Balanced Humidity Levels

Relative humidity is maintained between 60 and 70 percent, the range that keeps corks supple and labels intact. Too dry and corks fail. Too damp and labels suffer. We hold the middle.

Minimal Vibration & Light

Bottles rest undisturbed in low-traffic, UV-shielded lockers. No foot traffic past your cellar, no fluorescent exposure, none of the constant micro-vibration that disrupts sediment and accelerates aging.

What makes Classic's storage different from a wine cellar at home?

Professional wine storage maintains conditions that are difficult to achieve and impossible to guarantee at home: stable temperature (typically 55°F year-round), controlled humidity (60-70% RH), zero light exposure, minimal vibration, and backup systems for power outages. A home cellar can come close, but it can't replicate the redundancy and around-the-clock monitoring of a purpose-built facility.

How does Classic maintain temperature and humidity?

Each facility uses commercial-grade climate control systems with redundant cooling and continuous monitoring. Temperature is held at 55°F, and humidity is maintained between 60 and 70 percent. If any reading drifts outside the target range, our team is alerted immediately.

What's the difference between a locker and a walk-in private room?

Lockers are individual secured units sized from 12 to 100 cases, ideal for emerging and intermediate collectors. Walk-in private rooms are larger spaces for serious collectors with extensive cellars, providing room for original wooden cases, large-format bottles, and ongoing collection growth.

Can I split my collection across multiple Classic locations?

Yes. Some members keep their primary collection at one location and a smaller working selection at another that's closer to home. Because all four facilities maintain identical standards, your wine is equally well protected wherever you store it. Additionally, if you take advantage of our Inventory Management Services, we’re able to pull and transfer wines from your different locker locations with ease.

How quickly can I access my wine?

Member access hours are 8a to 10p, seven days a week. You can walk in, pull what you need, and leave. For pickup or delivery requests outside those hours, our team can typically coordinate same-day or next-day service.

Can I store wine that hasn't arrived yet? (imaginary bottles?)

Yes. Classic's Receiving Service handles incoming shipments on your behalf. We sign for the delivery, inspect every bottle for fill level and condition, log the wine into your inventory, and place it in your locker, all without you needing to be there.
